Lifeline Concerts is dedicated to bringing quality, Christ-centered, family-friendly, Gospel music concerts, events, and media to North Florida and the surrounding areas. This volunteer collective promotions team has been promoting Gospel music in the area for well over a decade and has been able to bring some of the best gospel and Christian artists to the North Florida area. We are proud members of the Southern Gospel Music Promoters Association. Lifeline Concerts is a registered non-profit ministry in the state of Florida.
Lifeline Concerts began out of the Lifeline Church in Jacksonville, Florida which was pastored by the late Gordon C. Gunter. The church began to host a series of open mic “sings” for a number of years, which then gave way to hosting a monthly gospel concert featuring local artists. The artists were booked by Steven Gunter, son of Pastor Gordon Gunter. While the church building was small, the concerts were great. Eventually, the opportunity to host regional artists arose and many of them came through the doors of the Lifeline Church. With the church’s blessing, Lifeline Concerts launched out to be what was an accidental concert promotions team and began to promote “full-time” artists such as The Kingsmen, Brian Free and Assurance, and The Kingdom Heirs, among others. With these opportunities, Lifeline Concerts began partnering with local churches to become host venues for churches. We’ve had the blessing to work with local churches like Lenox Ave Church of God, Old Plank Road Baptist Church, Harvest Ministries, Rolling Hills Baptist, Restoration Baptist, First Baptist Maxville, along with many others.
We love southern gospel music and we want to see it expand. Through our email list and Facebook, we freely distribute concert information about gospel music events for local churches, as well as, our own Lifeline Concerts. We have had a presence on local and internet radio in the form of the Lifeline Concerts Radio Show, which aired weekly for a time. We are thankful to all of the churches, businesses, and organizations who partner with us to do a small part to keep gospel music alive.
